Welcome

Welcome to our website.  Allow me to take a few moments to introduce our College to you. I am privileged to be able to co-lead Emmanuel College with Mr Nat Ogborn who is the Head of School.

Emmanuel College exists to impart wisdom to the next generation by educating young people in a culture which prioritises excellence, leadership and character.

Emmanuel College is a Christian ethos school of character for the whole community. We believe that everyone in the Emmanuel College community should be valued, challenged and inspired, being ‘made in God’s image’ and therefore infinitely precious, morally responsible and gifted for a purpose. All that we do in our school is inspired by that ethos and underpinned by our core virtues of love, wisdom, fairness, self-control, courage, humility, and integrity.

Our school community is made up of students, staff and parents who hold many different religious and ideological positions but who unite around our ethos and core virtues. Our ethos is liberating because it provides both a framework for knowing both about and how to live in our world. The Christian gospel is a message of hope, redemption and transformation that makes a difference to how we see ourselves and how we live.
